1954-

Men and women from Bruce County and local First Nation communities not only showed up for battle during major conflicts, but have also gave their time and expertise to peace time efforts and more recent conflicts including the Gulf War and Afghanistan. Up until 1970, there was an active militia or reserve force based in Bruce County. Currently, Bruce County residents serve with the Grey & Simcoe Foresters and in the (regular) Canadian Armed Forces.
