Notes

He served during WWII, as well as during peace. As a pilot during the war, he was a Flight Lieutenant in the Demon Squadron. He flew 47 Lancaster missions over enemy territory. During peacetime, he flew Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip across Canada on one of their tours. Parents: Olympian Jennie (Fletcher) Hyslop and Henry Hill Hyslop. Four of Irving' siblings also served in the Canadian military, as well as his father.
