Notes

Ralph was the son of Ernest Alfred Henry and Adeline Victoria Woods, who owned Henry’s book store in of Kincardine, Ontario. Also, he was brother to Flight Lieutenant Douglas Henry, DFC and bar and Ernest, DFC. Ralph attended the University of Toronto, where his name is engraved at Soldiers Tower, and then attended Toronto Normal School. He taught for 2 ½ years in Windsor. He was a gifted pianist. Ralph was granted a Commission as Pilot Officer in September 1941, and went overseas in 1942. He went missing in action and is recognized on the Runnymede Memorial in the United Kingdom.
