Notes

He served in England and France. On August 11, 1918, he was diagnosed with Posterior Pharyngitis which he contracted from exposure. He was admitted to No.12 Stationary Hospital in Saint-Pol, France on August 27, 1918, after receiving two gunshot wounds and a lacerated forearm. He was transferred to the Royal Free Hospital in London, England on August 31, 1918, and transferred again on September 27, 1918, to the Canadian Convalescent Officers Hospital in Matlock, England. He was discharged from hospitalization on November 4, 1918. He was present at the Battle of Neuve Chapelle.
