52nd Battalion
1914 – 1918
The 52nd Battalion (New Ontario) was authorized in November, 1914, and left for Britain in November, 1915. It disembarked in France on February 21, 1916, and fought as part of the 9th Infantry Brigade, 3rd Canadian Division in France and Flanders until the end of the war.
The battalion was disbanded in August, 1920, and is perpetuated by the Lake Superior Scottish Regiment.
