Notes

Hugh attended the Ontario College of Art in Toronto. Hugh’s College years were put on hold while he enlisted in the R.C.A.F. Hugh served in WWII as a navigator in the Ferry Command. One of Hugh’s pilots during the war was Kirk Kerkorian. Shortly after Hugh graduated from the Ontario College of Art, he married Anne Isabelle McQuire (Belle) in a small ceremony at the Protestant Lutheran church in Chesley Ontario. Belle and Hugh met at the O.C.A. Hugh worked eagerly to become a fine commercial artist.
