There is a discrepancy with Robert Carrick’s birthdate. The enlistment card states his birthdate as 1872, but Carrick’s headstone, birth register, and census records state a birth year of 1864. Descendants of Robert Carrick believe he lied about his age at the time of enlistment.Sources & Links
