Notes

Arthur was born in Pinkerton, ON. He was the son of J.B. Campbell of Chesley, ON. He was living at Burwash Hall, Toronto, ON and working as a clerk in the Canadian Bank of Commerce (1910-1916) when he enlisted into the University of Toronto Training Corps. He was discharged later that year, having accepted a Commission with the Royal Flying Corps. He remained with the R.F.C. until the end of the war. His service was considered for the grant of war medals.
