The article included with this file states that Jack Anderson was injured when a shell blew some sandbags on top of him. However, there is nothing to that effect in his CEF file. The medical issues listed in his file were sore knees and venereal disease. Having spent some time in the front line trenches, it is entirely possible that Anderson was injured as stated.
