Notes

Seraphine LaFrance was born in Teeswater, Ontario. He was the son of Francis (Frank) LaFrance and Lena Van Halton. In 1907, he emigrated to the United States with his father and siblings, Brattleboro, Windham, Vermont. Upon his death, he was noted as a Lakeman (Sailor) working for Sailing Salt Water. He died in the U.S. Marine Hospital, Detroit, Wayne, Michigan at the age of 26. His death certificate noted place of burial, cremation or removal as Chesley, Ont. A death notice in the Walkerton Telescope of November 27, 1919, notes the interment in Walkerton.
