Served in France (26th and 18th Batteries), North Russia (68th Battery). A letter home, published in the Wiarton Echo, describes his efforts during the Battle of Vimy Ridge as a signaller tasked with maintaining communications between the advancing infantry and the guns, He was known by his middle name, Lloyd. Lloyd was born in Wiarton, but moved to Port Arthur, Ontario. His father was Allen Grant Seaman. Lloyd married Marion Jean Parkinson.
