served as a gunner with the 5th Canadian Medium Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery in Italy, Belgium and Holland during the Second World War. He was discharged on November 14, 1945 and returned home to settle in Keppel Township as a farmer. Resided in Amabell Township and Keppel Township. Was a member of the Wiarton Legion Branch for 22 years.
